Rules 2009 -2010 Season

RT 128 Youth Hockey complies with all USA Hockey and Massachusetts Hockey Rules.

Additional Rules:

ROSTER

1.  On or before November 1, each team representative shall submit a roster ( excel spreadsheet or word document) of at least fourteen (14) players, including one goaltender, but not more than (20) players to the 128 Hockey League Office. The roster shall include the player's name, date of birth, and home city or town. This roster form can be a copy or photo of the official USA Hockey Player Roster form. As of November 15, any team which does not have a player roster form submitted to the League Office, will automatically forfeit any games from that date forward.


Section 1. - Teams
 

1.  All teams must be registered with Massachusetts Hockey or the appropriate USA Hockey affiliate association. An official USA Hockey roster must be submitted to the District Registrar by the applicable deadline. Birth certificates of all players must be made available to the league officials upon request.

2.  Requests for amended rosters for Winter Bantams must be sent in writing to  RT 128 Youth Hockey by January 1st.

3.  A roster will consist of a maximum of 20 Players. Exceptions to this must be requested in writing to the league for approval.

4.  A minimum of six players are required to be dressed for a game.

5.  Player eligibility dates for team rosters will be in accordance with USA Hockey.

6. Coaches must be properly patched and certified according to the USA/Mass Hockey Rules prior to stepping on the bench. Their certification number and level needs to be placed on each game sheet before the start of the game.

7.  No player may appear on more than one roster within the league. A player for a team below may be used an alternate in up to six games, after October 1 of the current season. If a player participates in a seventh game, he or she will not longer be eligible to play on the lower level team in the RT 128 Hockey League. Each time an alternate player is used he or she must sign the game sheet prior to the start of the game. Failure to abide by this rule will result in a forfeit.

A player in order to be eligible can only play on teams up (directly above) and to the left of their respective team. This example shows a Squirt 3 player can only play for Sqt 2, Sqt 1, Peewee 3, Peewee 2, Peewee 1


8.  Players, including alternate players, must wear the same jersey number throughout the season.
